The American Indian College Fund and the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation today announced a grant of $50,000 for a new scholarship program to support American Indian students. The grant will fund scholarships for qualified Native students in their final year of college who have financial need to complete their degree.

“Lowe’s is contributing to a cause that is important to our customers and employees by helping American Indian students achieve their educational goals,” said Marshall Croom, chairman of the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation. “We know these funds will make an important difference in student’s lives as they graduate from college and start a career.”

“We are grateful for this new partnership with Lowe’s,” said Richard B. Williams, president and chief executive officer of the American Indian College Fund. “Lowe’s contribution is a lifeline to Native students whose college education is threatened by financial hardship. This grant will help students reach their educational goals so that they may have a better future.”
