Senior Director, Administrative Services

Lisa Smith is the Senior Director of Administrative Services for the American Indian College Fund. She provides oversite for the College Fund website, human resources, employee engagement, and company culture. Passionate about building great workplaces, Lisa led the organization to its first ever spot on the Denver Post’s Top Workplaces in 2019!

Lisa holds a Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin—Platteville. She is a Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP) and has over 30 years of experience in human resources, learning & development, and operations. Additionally, she holds certificates in Cognitive Coaching, Adaptive Schools (group coaching), TQM Team Facilitation, and is a qualified trainer for the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and DiSC Assessments.

Her strength encompasses a compassionate leadership style that empowers the team and leaders to bring their best to the organization. She mentors, coaches, and communicates in a manner that drives collaboration and community. At the end of the day it’s about getting the job done, but in a way that enhances the mission as well as the people at the heart of the work.
