Pendleton Releases New College Fund Blanket

April 1, 2016

Pendleton Woolen Mills has released the newest blanket in its American Indian College Fund blanket line, the Naskan Saddle Blanket. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the College Fund.

The saddle blanket depicts the story of Johano-ai, the Navajo sun god, who begins his day in the east and rides one of his five horses across the sky to his post in the west while dragging his shining, golden orb—the sun. As his horse gallops across the sky, gorgeous hides and ornately woven blankets, known as naskan, lie beneath its hooves. This stunning traditional geometric blanket derives its mountain pattern and name from these sacred Navajo blankets.
Product specifics are:

  • 68″ x39″
  • Unnapped, felt bound
  • 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton
  • Dry clean only
  • Made in USA
