American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship recipient Dakota Kahbeah is is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and a recent graduate from the College of the Muscogee Nation, where he majored in Tribal Services

American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship recipient Dakota Kahbeah is from Okmulgee, OK, and is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. He recently graduated from the College of the Muscogee Nation, where he majored in tribal services. Dakota was on the President’s Honor Roll, and was selected by faculty as the 2018 American Indian College Fund Student of the Year.

This fall, Dakota is planning to transfer to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. to pursue his bachelors of science degree in exercise physiology, and plans to become a doctor of physical therapy. He will also serve as an American Indian College Fund Student Ambassador during the 2018-2019 school year.

  1. What are you most excited about at Fort Lewis College?
    1. The scenery, just the view there is amazing!
  2. What’s one way you are preparing for the new school year?
    1. Resting as much as I can
  3. Since you’re transferring to a new college, is there anything that you’re nervous about?
    1. The atmosphere, I prefer to be surrounded by positive/motivational people.
  4. What was one of your favorite things about being a student at the College of the Muscogee Nation?
    1. The teachers. They really interacted with you – making it a helpful environment.
  5. What are you looking forward to most about being a College Fund Ambassador?
    1. Inspiring students that struggle by telling them my story from graduating high school to where I am now. Help them realize that they have the ability to be successful no matter what happens.
