HEADLINE ENTERTAINMENT

Brooke Simpson — an American Indian singer — may be best known as a finalist on NBC’s The Voice, but she is a powerhouse artist who is passionate about songwriting and people. She has released two singles; 2am, which charted on the iTunes pop chart; and her most recent single, Perfect.

HONOREE

After learning about American Indian College Fund students in an advertisement, Kimberly (“Kim”) Blanchard, a partner in the tax department of Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP and the 30th Anniversary Flame of Hope Gala Honoree, decided to visit several tribal colleges (TCUs). She met our students and learned for herself about the work the College Fund and TCUs do in Native communities. Those visits made Kim an advocate for our philosophy and tagline, “Education is the answer.” She has funded nearly 250 students with scholarships, giving Native students the opportunity for a better life. She has also sponsored professional development and acknowledgement programs for 400 TCU faculty members, helping them advance their careers. For the past nine years Kim has also served on the College Fund’s Board of Trustees.

Your voice matters and it needs to be heard…

Together we can continue to empower more than 4,000 American Indians students to start and stay in school, complete their degrees and launch careers that benefit us all. We can live in a community where everyone has a right to an education and a right to make a difference in our world.

WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE

There are many ways to help students achieve their educational dreams. With your involvement, we will increase the number of American Indians in college today. When they are successful, we are all successful.

OUR SPONSORS

We are grateful to the corporations and foundations that partner with us to champion Native American students in their pursuit of college degrees.
Thank you to the sponsors of our 30th Anniversary New York Flame of Hope Gala.
