HONOREE

After learning about American Indian College Fund students in an advertisement, Kimberly (“Kim”) Blanchard, a partner in the tax department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and the 30th Anniversary Flame of Hope Gala Honoree, decided to visit several tribal colleges (TCUs). She met our students and learned for herself about the work the College Fund and TCUs do in Native communities. Those visits made Kim an advocate for our philosophy and tagline, “Education is the answer.” She has funded nearly 250 students with scholarships, giving Native students the opportunity for a better life. She has also sponsored professional development and acknowledgement programs for 400 TCU faculty members, helping them advance their careers. For the past nine years Kim has also served on the College Fund’s Board of Trustees.
