college_baymillsBay Mills Community College (BMCC) provides education in a community-based, culturally diverse environment to support and maintain the Anishinaabek culture and language for the Bay Mills Indian Community, a tribal nation serving the many Sault Ste. Marie bands of Chippewa Indians.

BMCC offers associate degrees, certificate and diploma programs. Associate degree subjects include computer information systems, business administration, early childhood education, construction technology, Ojibwe language instruction, and criminal justice corrections. Certificate programs include emergency medical technician training, and early childhood education. Diploma programs are available in Ojibwe language. BMCC also offers continuing education programs, a dual enrollment program allowing youth to earn college credit while attending high school, and free Native American studies courses to the community. BMCC assists students’ successful transition to four-year institutions through its articulation agreements with Michigan colleges and universities.

Student Life
A student success center, tutoring, calculator and laptop lending program, and a wide array of clubs are offered.
