Student and Institutional Success

Dollar General Literacy Foundation

The American Indian College Fund’s Dollar General American Indian and Alaska Native Literacy and Adult Education Program aims to improve and support student and adult literacy in tribal communities by increasing the number of American Indians and Alaska Natives (AIAN) pursuing and achieving their General Education Diploma (GED) and/or High School Equivalency (HSE) credentials.

Like the Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF), the College Fund’s Dollar General American Indian and Alaska Native Literacy and Adult Education Program is committed to helping individuals of all ages receive the educational foundation they need to succeed in post-secondary education opportunities. Through the program, we are improving adult literacy by providing life-changing services to the most educationally underrepresented ethnic or racial group in the United States. We are building the education and employment pipeline and developing models for success in HSE and GED attainment for American Indian and Alaska Native people and communities.
