American Indian College Fund President and CEO Co-Authors Chapter on Native Higher Education in the Northern Plains

American Indian College Fund President and CEO Cheryl Crazy Bull co-authored a chapter in the recently released book “On Indian Ground – A Return to Indigenous Knowledge: Generating Hope, Leadership, and Sovereignty Through Education.” This work, focused on the Northern Plains, is one of a ten-book series from Information Age Publishing that explores American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian education in different regions.

Jasmine Seeks Role as Voice for Her People and Environment as University of Michigan Law Student

College Fund student ambassador Jasmine (Menominee) has long been an environmental activist in her community, which depends upon the environment for its economic livelihood. Today she is studying at the University of Michigan Law School to pursue a career as an attorney working in litigation and appeals after realizing that the aspect of the environmental movement that affects her the most is social justice.

Jasmine earned her Bachelor’s degree in public administration from the College of the Menominee Nation last May and began her studies at the University of Michigan Law School this fall where she will focus on environmental and constitutional law.

Samantha is pursuing a degree in law from Harvard Law School and hopes dedicate her career to fighting for justice on behalf of Native people, who have historically lacked adequate representation.

Jerald is helping members of his tribe and community heal from generational trauma through mental health and substance abuse counseling. He believes his past struggles will help him offer better care to those in need.
