Research Repository

Organizational Research

The American Indian College Fund is using research to develop a greater understanding of ideas, concepts, and topics instrumental to the work we do with tribal colleges and universities (TCUs), Native communities, AI/AN students, and faculty. We designed this repository to provide researchers and the general public access to our and others’ research supporting AI/AN student success. This research repository includes literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, and fact sheets on four categories of research: student impact, faculty impact, institutional impact, and community impact. All dissertations, literature reviews, fact sheets, and annotated bibliographies are categorized in at least one of these categories. The portal also provides access to dissertations produced by faculty fellows supported by our Mellon Career Enhancement Fellowship program and historical documents the College Fund has produced over the years.

Outside Research

Also included in the portal are research and white papers by other organizations conducting research that benefit and are pertinent to the AI/AN higher education community and student success. Organizations such as the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) , National College Access Network (NCAN), Penn Graduate School of Education’s Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CSMI), Gallup, Purdue University, Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), among others, provide valuable insight to the College Fund’s work. These linked articles and reports are not the work of the College Fund and sole copyright belongs to each organization. We provide links to these works because they allow us to situate our work in a national context.
