What is this TCU known for?
Founded in 1971 on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation, SGU is one of the pioneering TCUs and was among the first to offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The university preserves Sicangu Lakota culture, history, and language while addressing social and economic concerns of the Sicangu Lakota Oyate. SGU has seven academic departments plus graduate programs.
