Seattle EatssMay 20, 2020
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the May 20 Seattle EATSS event will be rescheduled to later in the year. However, Native communities need your help more than ever.
Get ready to meet and taste delicious food from some of New York’s best chefs. Each one will share their culinary talents as they create a signature dish incorporating ingredients indigenous to the local region. During this catered event, guests will also enjoy beer and wine while sampling chef tastings. We will announce participating chefs soon!
Participating Tribal Colleges
Did you know there are culinary college programs specific to Indigenous peoples and foods? Join us for the New York EATSS event to learn more from our culinary students about how they are working to preserve traditional Native cuisine AND sample a few student-prepared traditional dishes.
What makes this event so special? Apart from the students, renowned chefs, and amazing food, there is one more thing – the ingredients used to create the unique dishes! Each recipe will feature locally sourced ingredients that are indigenous to the Northeast region. Come learn the rich history of each ingredient used at our New York EATSS event!
You will get to experience more than just engaging speakers and great food at our New York EATSS event. Native American heritage is beautifully expressed in countless ways. Whether through cuisine, music, art, or dance, our hope is to provide a truly experiential event for you to enjoy. And who knows? You may end up taking a piece of Native American culture home with you!
