URGENT ADVOCACY REQUEST. Please Help Us Continue Our Work Helping Students and Communities!

Mar 25, 2020 | Advocacy

Make a huge difference with a 60-second phone call.

Congress is about to vote on emergency COVID-19 relief legislation containing significant aid for nonprofit organizations. We want to be sure that Native non-profit leaders’ voices are heard.

The legislation can ensure our survival as Native non-profits work to fight the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on our communities. It offers access to emergency loans and payroll advances, provides employee retention tax credits, establishes a temporary universal charitable deduction, and allocates funding to many federal programs that support the work of the nonprofit sector.

Votes are imminent. Please call your legislators now. Ask them to support this critical legislation and to provide further aid for the nonprofit sector in any future COVID-19 relief efforts.

Note: If you call after business hours or the office is closed for precautionary measures, please leave a voicemail! Congressional staff are still actively monitoring constituent submissions.

The American Indian College Fund has joined forces with Independent Sector, which is conducting a campaign. Please go to https://independentsector.quorum.us/campaign/25403/ for a personalized call script and direct phone access to your legislators.
