The Jana Foundation Grants $10,000 to American Indian College Fund

December 1, 2010, Denver, Colo.—The American Indian College Fund received a $10,000 grant from the New York-based Jana Foundation for scholarships for American Indian students pursuing an education at tribal colleges and universities.

Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the Fund, said, “The generosity of The Jana Foundation will help American Indian students achieve a college education, helping them to create better lives for themselves and their families. We are grateful to The Jana Foundation for their continued support.”

Starting November 15, the American Indian College Fund and Pendleton Woolen Mills, the international lifestyle brand headquartered in Portland, Oregon, are accepting submissions for The Tribal College Blanket Design Contest. American Indian and Alaska Native students attending a tribal college or university are eligible to submit up to two designs.
