It’s the first day of March! What better way to celebrate the beginning of Women’s History Month and Read Across America Day than to read a book by an Indigenous woman?

You can help raise Native women’s voices and support Native writers by choosing a great book from this list; shopping for your great reads at a Native woman-owned bookstore, such as Birchbark Books (owned by Louise Erdrich) or Na Mae Hawai’I Bookstore (owned by Maile Meyer); and discussing your chosen read with friends or sharing a review on social media.
