NikeTalk.com Supports American Indian College Fund with $11,000 Gift

November 20, 2013

NikeTalk.com, an online community dedicated to fans of sneakers and sports culture, has supported the American Indian College Fund with a gift of $11,000 for scholarship support to benefit American Indian students.

Nelson Cabral, founder of NikeTalk.com, said, “As the late Harvey S. Firestone once noted, ‘it is only as we develop others that we prematurely succeed.’ True success, lasting success, is both interpersonal and inter-generational. By this measure, I can think of no more successful investment than to support the American Indian College Fund in its ongoing mission to assist thousands of dedicated scholars and cultivate a new generation of leaders.”

Cheryl Crazy Bull, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund, said, “We are delighted that NikeTalk.com is dedicated to the intellectual achievement and growth of tomorrow’s leaders in Indian Country through its support of the American Indian College Fund. A college education will help Native people to succeed in their personal, professional, and community goals, and education is changing the face of Indian Country, one person at a time.”
