The American Indian College Fund received a $50,000 grant from the Travelers Foundation, the charitable arm of The Travelers Companies, Inc., to continue the Travelers Foundation Tribal College Scholarship Program for the 2011-12 academic year. This program will support six tribal and five mainstream American Indian college students with $4,000 scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be selected from locations near targeted Travelers Companies’ offices.

“We are honored to continue our partnership with the Travelers Foundation,” said Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund. “For 15 years, this generous company has partnered with the Fund to support American Indian higher education, and with this renewed gift, we can continue to help Native students reach their educational and career goals.”
