AT&T Continues Longtime Support of American Indian College Fund

Denver, Colorado – AT&T contributed $15,000 to the American Indian College Fund (the Fund), continuing almost two decades of supporting Native American students’ pursuit of higher education. The AT&T Tribal College Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students studying science, technology, engineering, mathematics and/or business at our nation’s tribal colleges and universities.

“Over the past 17 years, our work with the American Indian College Fund has positively impacted many tribal college students,” said Laura Sanford, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Contributions at AT&T. “We are pleased to continue our contributions to the scholarship program and help even more Native American scholars achieve their dreams of obtaining a college degree.”

“Thanks to AT&T, the pool of Native people knowledgeable and skilled in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics and business fields will continue to increase,” said Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund. “This will benefit not only the students, but their families, their communities, and our country as a whole.”

American Indian College Fund Celebrates National Transfer Student Week

To create awareness about how to successfully transfer to a college or university, with opportunities to hear from other Native students who have navigated the process, the American Indian College Fund will host two webinars: Transfer 101 and a Transfer Student Experience panel. Participants will also have access to a transfer process toolbox online. The College Fund is also creating awareness of transfer activities at TCUs by providing $2000 to institutions to assist transfer students by hosting on-campus events, augmenting transfer student resources, or compensating potential transfer student site visits.
