Idina Menzel to Perform at American Indian College Fund’s 25th Anniversary Gala

August 5, 2014, Denver, Colo. – The American Indian College Fund has signed Tony-award winning Broadway powerhouse vocalist Idina Menzel to perform live at its 25th Anniversary Gala, to be held Monday, October 20 at Pier Sixty in New York City. This black tie fundraising event will benefit Native American higher education and celebrate the College Fund’s mission and years of service to provide Native American access to higher education.

Emmy-award winning television journalist David Ushery, who co-anchors the weekend editions of NBC 4’s “News 4 New York” at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. and is the creator and host of Emmy Award-nominated “The Debrief with David Ushery,” will serve as the emcee for the event.

A silent auction featuring unique items, including Native art will also be held at the not-to-miss event.

Starting November 15, the American Indian College Fund and Pendleton Woolen Mills, the international lifestyle brand headquartered in Portland, Oregon, are accepting submissions for The Tribal College Blanket Design Contest. American Indian and Alaska Native students attending a tribal college or university are eligible to submit up to two designs.
