Pendleton has continued its longstanding support by granting two gifts to the Fund. The first gift of $6,472 is from royalties from a blanket line designed exclusively for the American Indian College Fund. This gift will continue the Pendleton Woolen Mills Tribal College Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to American Indian students attending tribal colleges and universities in Washington and Montana. Pendleton’s second gift of $73,498 will go towards the Pendleton Endowment Tribal Scholars Program, which provides scholarships in perpetuity to Native students attending tribal colleges and universities throughout the United States.

“We are pleased to be part of the American Indian College Fund family,” said Robert Christnacht, Division Manager of Pendleton’s Home division. “Our relationship with the Native American community goes back to our company’s earliest days over 100 year ago. It is with a sense of pride and community that Pendleton makes these donations.”

“The American Indian College Fund has enjoyed the support of Pendleton Woolen Mills for 17 years. Their support has been crucial for providing scholarships to American Indian students throughout Indian Country,” said Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund. “Pendleton’s continued support provides hope to students who otherwise could not afford a college education, while also helping their families and communities.”
