International Game Technology Awards $25,000 to The Fund for Native Scholarships

International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), headquartered in Nevada, granted $25,000 to the American Indian College Fund (the Fund) to support Native scholarships.

The gift will provide scholarships to Native students studying at 36 tribal colleges and universities across the United States.

“IGT is dedicated to supporting our tribal partners, in both business and their local communities, as they continue to carry on the legacy of Indian Country,” said Knute Knudson, IGT vice president of Native American development. “This donation to the American Indian College Fund will help further education and provide opportunities to help students succeed.”

“IGT’s generous support for Native education will help American Indian students earn a college education. A higher education is a proven path out of poverty, and IGT’s gift will help our students make a better life for themselves and their families,” said Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund.
