Denver, Colo., October 21, 2024– The American Indian College Fund is thrilled to announce its annual Twin Cities EATSS (Epicurean Award to Support Scholars) event, returning on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. This immersive evening promises a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture through cuisine, art, and music, all in support of Native students pursuing higher education.
The evening’s festivities begin with the EATSS event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., where guests will savor a full-course meal crafted by top Indigenous chefs, including renowned chefs like Chef Anthony Bauer (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa) and Chef Bradley Dry (Cherokee Nation). These culinary masters will offer a taste of traditional Native ingredients with a modern twist, highlighting the deep-rooted foodways that have shaped Indigenous communities for generations.
The celebration extends beyond food, showcasing original artworks from up-and-coming American Indian artists, offering a unique window into Native creativity and tradition. The Guthrie Theater, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, serves as a fitting backdrop for this culturally rich event, standing as a symbol of education, access to the arts, and respect for Indigenous heritage.
To cap off this unforgettable evening, acclaimed singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will take the stage for an exclusive concert.
