American Indian College Fund Celebrates Indigenous Peoples’ Day—With A New PSA

Oct 9, 2023 | Blog, Featured Post, Good News, Inside the College Fund

Just in time for Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the American Indian College Fund is releasing its new PSA, “Move Aside,” created by our longtime pro bono advertising partner, Wieden+Kennedy. The new campaign reflects what the Native students we support do every day in their lives: take the wisdom from their Indigenous past, work hard to get an education in the present, and build a better future—for themselves, their families, and their tribal nations.

Our scholars graduate and innovate in every facet of American society—as healthcare providers, senators, business executives, NASA rocket scientists, and more. They are leaders, mentors, and future changemakers. When you make room for tomorrow’s Indigenous graduates, you support the future. When you become a friend and ally of Native people, you legitimize our place in the world.

“Move Aside” is directed by Erica Tremblay and features actress Elva Guerra (who you may recognize for her work in “Rez Dogs”) and original music by Harold Paul.

You can watch the PSA “Move Aside” and learn more about how to support the American Indian College Fund, Indigenous students, and their futures on Indigenous Peoples Day and every day at standwith.collegefund.org.
