The Webby Awards honored Portland-based advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy as Webby Agency of the Year. The Agency of the Year Award recognizes the most successful agency across all Webby categories including Advertising, Media & PR, Websites, Apps, Mobile, and Voice, Video, Social, Podcasts, and Games.

With six Webby Awards and seven Webby People’s Voice Awards, including for Colin Kaepernick’s “Dream Crazy” tweetThe Return of Colonel Sanders, and Dilly Dilly, Wieden+Kennedy earned more Webby Awards and nominations across all categories than any other agency this year.

With 13,000 works entered from all 50 U.S. states and 70 countries around the world and nearly 3 million votes in the Webby People’s Voice Awards, the 23rd Annual Webby Awards is one of the biggest in history and continues to be the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.

The American Indian College Fund has worked with Wieden+Kennedy for nearly 30 years on its advertising campaigns, under the direction of the agency’s co-founder, David Kennedy, creating public service announcements for television, radio, and print and a line of blankets with Pendleton Woolen Mills. The College Fund most recently collaborated with Wieden+Kennedy on a Think Indian campaign delivered to tribal colleges and universities to create awareness about Native American scholarships for college.
