American Indian College Fund Program Officer Cassandra Harden has been invited to deliver the keynote speech and reflection at the upcoming 2024 Tribal Colleges and Universities – Head Start (TCU-HS) Partnership Programs Annual Meeting. The TCU-HS Partnership Programs provide grants for tribal colleges and universities to establish or enhance partnerships with Head Start programs to increase the number of qualified education staff working in American Indian Alaska Native Head Start and Early Head Start Programs. Grantees provide comprehensive early childhood services, including education, health, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement services to promote improved outcomes.

Harden, who holds a bachelor’s in early childhood education, leads the College Fund’s Ihduwiyayapi: Advancing Indigenous Early Childhood Education and Indigenous Visionaries: Women’s Leadership programs. On November 14, she will provide the keynote address and lead a student panel. The event runs November 13-15 in Washington D.C.
